Your questions answered: finding your way around

We have tried to make the website as easy as possible to find what you need and not get lost.  However, it is useful to explain the navigation facilities that we have built in to the site.

Return home

As is the usual convention, clicking on the logo in the top left will always take you back to your home page.

Top Navigation

You will always have a large green banner across the top of the page.  These options are for registered or subscriber members and you will need to log in to look at anything other than "My Basket".  They provide all the information you need about the details we have stored about you, documents that you have viewed, and any transaction history you may have with us.

Left Navigation

The left hand navigation gives you quick access to do things on the site, such as log in, get help, subscribe, and look at the Catalogue.  When you log in as a subscriber you will also have additional items in your left hand navigation.

Breadcrumb Trail

To help you keep track of where you are within the sections of the site, we provide a breadcrumb trail for you.  The breadcrumb trail looks like this:

This example shows you that you are on the Navigation page of the Help section.  These trails get a bit more important in the more "busy" sections of the site.

The good thing about the breadcrumb trail is that clicking on any part of it will take you back to that page.

Site Map

If you would find it helpful to see an overview of all the content on the site, you might find the Site Map useful.  You can click to go directly to any of the pages on the map.
