Your questions answered: our products and services
What exactly does Career Workshop do?
We are an information and research company specialising in
the career change and job search market. We sell
information which we believe is helpful to people who are looking
for new jobs - such as listings of recruiters or companies who
specialise in certain fields, or summaries of relevant job search
sources for different sectors or job types. We also provide
other services such as training on effective use of the internet
and company research.
How do I find out about Career Workshop's products and
services?
All our products and services are described here on the
website. There are sections for our main products and markets
in the left hand navigation. These sections provide
information about all our activities. And don't forget our
virtual tour which is an online presentation about the
company.
What about prices?
All items that can be purchased via the website are clearly marked with their price on the appropriate pages. For Documents, this is within the Catalogue and for Subscriptions this is within the Subscribe section.
Some services, particularly those available to business customers, require a more tailored approach. We will provide quotes where this is the case, however we do give indicative prices wherever possible.
Where do you get your information from?
We have our own database of recruiters and information sources which we maintain on a daily basis. This contains thousands of items relevant to career change and job seeking, plus internet research and information skills. We add to the database whenever we come across - or are recommended to - new, useful sources. However, new items only go on the database if we decide they are reliable, accurate and up-to-date.
When we are commissioned to do specific research - for example on a company or market - we use premium sources such as Lexis Nexis and Factiva.
How often is your information updated?
Every day we update a section of records, to ensure that no information is older than 3 months. Documents and website pages are all reviewed once a quarter, and a new version issued. You can see the date of each document in the Catalogue and it is also clearly marked on each document.
Did we answer your question?
We hope so, but if not please do get in touch with us so that we can help.
