Workshops and Training

Career Workshop provides training sessions which help people to find the information they need for the job search and career change process, and to present themselves effectively in the job market.  We have experience of delivering training to both individuals and groups.

Our standard half-day training workshops focus on research skills for job search, covering useful sources of job search and self-marketing information, how to assess information quality, how to make the most effective use of search engines etc.  We also run training sessions on business presentation skills, self-marketing, interview preparation, CV writing, PC familiarisation, getting started on the internet, and research for business start-up. 

We offer 'clinic sessions' which are drop-in or appointment-based half day sessions on-site where clients can come and get research tips and advice and learn about relevant sources for their enquiries.

Finally, if you are using the Online Transitions Centre, we offer introductory sessions on how to get the most out of the system. These can be short 1 hour presentations or combined with other content to make a half day session.

A half-day training course (for 1-10 attendees) costs £300 plus VAT and our trainer's travelling expenses.
